The Spiritual Significance of Hajj and Umrah
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam and is a mandatory pilgrimage for every able-bodied and financially capable Muslim at least once in their lifetime. It takes place in the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah and involves a series of rituals in and around the holy city of Mecca.
Umrah, on the other hand, is a non-mandatory pilgrimage that can be undertaken at any time of the year. While it is not as comprehensive as Hajj, it still holds great significance in the hearts of Muslims around the world.
